Riddled With Anxiety? Say No To Stress In Your Life!

Anyone can easily be overwhelmed by stress. While some stress in extremely essential and unavoidable, if not monitored or alleviated in some way your stress can and will lead to anxiety.

There are many causes of stress. It is a very perceptual thing. What causes stress for one person does not necessarily cause stress for some other soul. One cause that looks to be on a lot of sufferer's lists is finances. Especially when they're experiencing money issues. It is extremely common for a person to be feeling anxious when they're in debt.

So, if you want to preclude the anxiety related with financial stress, don't go into debt. Sadly this bit of advice is too late for countless individuals that have mounting debt and intensifying anxiety. Here's what you can do to begin. Set yourself up a budget. Yes, the dreaded "b" word. In this budget you will include principal expenses with one addendum - an emergency fund.

You will be able to pay off your debt quicker and observe a lessening of the anxiety levels, if you stick to that budget. Imagine the relief and the overwhelming sense of pride once all your debt is extinguished. Not to mention the absence of the anxiety.

Another cause of stress is working too much. Both you and your family can suffer due to the lengthy hours at work.

Set up some rules regarding your workplace to help change this. During the time at work leave your personal life at the elevator bank. Pick it up when you leave for the day and vice versa. When you leave your workplace don't take any part with you. Make it a rule not to think about work outside of the workplace. When you're with your family, give them your exclusive attention. They deserve it.

Another stressor for may people is their inability to say "no". It can be rather stressful to say yes to everyone who demands your assistance. When you say yes to too many people who ask, you end up not taking care of yourself. It's fine to say no at times. Aid others when you are able, but don't go overboard.

Restrict your assistance to one individual at a time. Be mindful of those that are abusive in their calls for help. Family and friends included. Teach them to aid themselves. It is absolutely OK to expect something from them in return. That will also empower the soul you are assisting.

Take on one problem at a time. You can very easily give in to stress if you extend yourself too thin. It's okay to recognize your limitations. Don't over extend yourself.

There are many things that cause stress. Take stock of your life and learn where your stress is coming from. Then take decisive action to cut that stress. You may have to vary some habits, you may even have to modify how you perceive things. Reducing your level of stress should take first place of the order of importance.
