As your child grows older the baby sleep schedule will of course change. They will start to take short naps, until the time they they reach around four or five years of age. Hopefully by this point, they will be able to get adequate healthy sleep at night that they will not be drowsy during the day which will see them through until it is time to go to bed at night.
